Common Questions
What file formats do you accept for printing?
We accept most standard print-ready file formats. For best results, vector files like PDF, EPS, or AI are ideal (or sometimes mandatory), especially for logos, text, and anything that needs to scale cleanly. For images and photo-based work, we recommend high-resolution PNG or TIFF files.
Low-quality JPEGs, screenshots from phones, or Word documents (DOCX) are not recommended, as they often result in poor print quality.
What are the requirements for files to be "print-ready?"
If you’re submitting your own files, make sure they meet basic print standards. That includes using high-resolution images (no pixelation), including a safe area for important content, and adding a bleed if you want edge-to-edge printing (aka full-bleed), up to 3mm is recommended on all sides. Files should be flattened or embedded with fonts, and exported at full print size.
Can you do borderless (full-bleed) printing?
Absolutely. Full-bleed printing (where the ink goes right to the edge of the page) is available upon request. Full-bleed printing often requires additional trimming, which can add to the cost depending on the size and volume.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Most of our services have no minimum order, so we’re happy to print one-offs and small runs. However, some products like business cards have a minimum order quantity (100 pieces), since they’re printed in multiples on larger sheets and then cut down to size.
Note: A basic service fee applies per order, which helps cover setup and handling, even for small jobs.
Do you offer printed proofs?
Yes, printed proofs are available on request. Please note that proofing will incur charges to cover materials and setup, and at minimum, the standard service fee applies. We recommend proofing for colour-sensitive, high-volume, or time-critical jobs.
Can I provide my own paper or materials for printing?
We carry a wide range of papers, stocks, and specialty media, but if you’re looking to print on something specific that we don’t typically stock, we’re open to reviewing it. Depending on the job and material, we may be able to print on it, so please feel free to inquire.
